Spangenberg / July 2023: As a family-run business based in Spangenberg, WIKUS focuses in particular on supporting the region when it comes to voluntary work. The focus of WIforyou is on clubs and institutions where WIKUS employees are members. They can actively apply for a grant of €500 or €2,500 for their small or large projects.
The first half of 2023, which was evaluated by a panel of employees, has been completed and funding commitments have been made. The WIKUS employees who submitted the application were invited to the official donation ceremony on behalf of their association/institution.
“As entrepreneurs, we are aware of our social responsibility and support WIKUS staff members in their private involvement in voluntary work in associations and institutions. This makes a positive contribution to the attractiveness of the regional area and to improving the quality of life of the people living here,” says Managing Partner Dr. Jörg H. Kullmann.
A special “social media prize” was also launched for the first round of WIforyou! Our dual student Till Steuber and his triathlon team from KSV Baunatal will report about his international competitions and personal successes on all WIKUS channels. We would like to support the promotion of young sporting talent in both senses of the word.
“A lot of different people and interests come together in our workforce. As a company, we are pleased to be able to support this diversity in our society and therefore also boost volunteering,” reports Managing Director Karsten Gutke.
The next round of applications is already underway. We're looking forward to supporting more exciting employee projects in the future.
