

Spangenberg, April 20, 2026 – WIKUS once again demonstrated its successful participation at TUBE 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the tube industry. From April 13 to 17, 2026, the saw band manufacturer presented itself as a competent partner for high‑performance and future‑oriented sawing solutions at the joint stand of BDS – Bundesverband Deutscher Stahlhandel (German Steel Trade Association) in Hall 1, Stand A59.
Throughout the trade fair week, the WIKUS booth evolved into a central meeting point for customers, partners and industry representatives. The focus was on in‑depth technical discussions covering current market requirements, technological developments and future challenges in tube and profile processing.
High‑Performance Sawing Technology for Industrial Applications
At the heart of WIKUS’ trade fair appearance were its proven, high‑performance saw bands for industrial tube and profile processing. Particular interest was drawn to the carbide‑tipped saw band PROFIDUR®, complemented by the PROFLEX®, MARATHON® and PRIMAR® product lines. These solutions stand for maximum process reliability, efficiency and quality in demanding production environments.
These focal topics were also reflected in the coverage of the official trade fair newspaper. In an interview with the industry magazine stahlmarkt / stahl+eisen, Sven Koepchen, Chairman of the Management Board and responsible for Sales, outlined the company’s strategic direction at the opening of wire & Tube 2026. Key themes such as efficiency enhancement, digitalization and the future of sawing technology underlined WIKUS’ ambition to consistently strengthen its position as an innovation leader.
Active Dialogue in Industry Formats and Forums
A particular highlight was WIKUS’ active participation in the BDS Forum, which addressed key future topics for the industry during TUBE. Leading companies discussed, among other things, sales and procurement trends, sustainability and green steel, macroeconomic framework conditions, as well as logistical challenges.
With his presentation entitled “Challenges for the Steel‑Processing SME Sector”, Heiko Wilken, CEO of WIKUS Nordic, provided practical insights into the strategic and technological issues that will shape the competitiveness of small and medium‑sized steel processors in the years ahead. The subsequent panel discussion, moderated by Oliver Ellermann, member of the BDS Executive Board, highlighted the importance of open dialogue and close cooperation between industry, trade and the SME sector.
