With the development of WIstockIT^® into a mobile app, the ordering chain has been automated and the material supply can be ensured without any time delay. Uddeholm AB has managed to make the ordering process for band saw blades much more efficient thanks to the digital tool from WIKUS.

With the WIstockIT^® app, Uddeholm AB is getting a tool that ensures the supply of materials without investing in expensive equipment. In addition, a quick overview of the band saw blades used in production as well as the current stock is made possible. The implementation of the digital solution was carried out seamlessly for the tool steel producer:
WIKUS provides a ZEBRA handheld for the application with the WIstockIT^® app, with which band saw blades can now be withdrawn from the stock by barcode scanning, and thanks to the integrated multi-sim card, it can also be used regardless of its location.
If a replenishment point has been reached, the respective article is automatically reordered. The simplified procurement process, allows for saving time, reduces capital tied up in the warehouse, and ensures the supply of materials.
