WIKUS Founds Subsidiary in Mexico
WIKUS-Sägenfabrik Wilhelm H. Kullmann GmbH & Co. KG has established a sales and service company with assembling (VSA) for sawing tools in Mexico and South America and started operations in the first quarter of 2024.
Spangenberg, 08. February 2024: — WIKUS, Europe’s largest band saw blade manufacturer, starts manufacturing and distributing its high-quality sawing tools and services for the Latin American market with its new subsidiary WIKUS SIERRAS CINTAS S. de R. L. De C.V. in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico.

The new subsidiary was founded in November 2022.
At the beginning of 2024, the necessary machine equipment for cutting to length, welding, post-processing, and assembling band saw blades all the way to ready-to-ship products was installed. Now intensive training for the local production team will follow before production and delivery commence in February 2024.

The new year 2024 began immediately with the installation of the machine equipment, which had previously been shipped in from Germany to ensure production could begin soon.
The interlinking of technology, production, IT, customer order production, and service providers is essential for a successful start in Mexico. “Above all, the international transfer of knowledge has proven to be valuable. Our interdisciplinary, cross-divisional project team is supporting the processes from Germany as well as locally in Mexico, for example by installing machines and training the new employees. In this way, Rafael Romero's team can benefit from the experience of the parent company and the accustomed high quality of WIKUS,” says Matthias Mell, multi-project management and CE representative in process management at WIKUS.
