EMO 2021: WIKUS presents digital tools and innovative sawing solutions

At the world's leading metal industry trade show EMO in Milan from October 4 to October 9, 2021, WIKUS-Sägenfabrik Wilhelm H. Spangenberg, 28 September 2021: – The world's leading metal industry trade show EMO will once again be opening its doors in the Italian metropolis of Milan. Over six days, visitors will be able to meet more than 700 exhibitors from over 30 countries on 110,000 square meters of exhibition space face to face (as at: July 2021). Under the motto "The magical world of the metal industry" and related key topics, visitors can learn all about the respective latest trends, exciting developments and future technologies.

Europe's largest saw blade manufacturer WIKUS will exhibit innovative products and digital tools for optimized sawing processes in the key area of "the digital factory", with a focus on purchasing and logistics from the customer perspective, because when it comes to procurement, digitization and automation ensure that business resources that are currently dedicated to administrative and manual processes can be utilized more efficiently.

In six steps, the online tool asks the customer about their particular requirements, provides actual recommendations with regard to suitable sizes, and includes an option for obtaining an immediate quote. Once the customer has decided on a band saw blade, it can be reordered via the digital tool WIstockIT^® shown at the EMO 2021. Besides the automation of ordering processes, WIstockIT^® also offers overviews updated in real time, such as numbers in stock, ordering history or consumption analyses, via an online portal, thereby ensuring optimum transparency and resource-saving. Both digital tools perform administrative jobs in the purchasing and logistics area. This saves time, and therefore also money.

New high-tech cutting solutions for improved precision

With the digital tools and its comprehensive range of services, WIKUS offers its customers additional benefits that go far beyond the company's portfolio of high-quality sawing tools "made in Germany" which it continuously develops further. The portfolio highlight of the company's presentation at the EMO 2021 will be the high-performance circular saw blade KREOS®. This high-tech circular saw blade sets benchmarks for cutting thin-walled pipes and moldings.
