Spangenberg, 28 September 2021: – The world's leading metal industry trade show EMO will once again be opening its doors in the Italian metropolis of Milan. Over six days, visitors will be able to meet more than 700 exhibitors from over 30 countries on 110,000 square meters of exhibition space face to face (as at: July 2021). Under the motto "The magical world of the metal industry" and related key topics, visitors can learn all about the respective latest trends, exciting developments and future technologies.
Europe's largest saw blade manufacturer WIKUS will exhibit innovative products and digital tools for optimized sawing processes in the key area of "the digital factory", with a focus on purchasing and logistics from the customer perspective, because when it comes to procurement, digitization and automation ensure that business resources that are currently dedicated to administrative and manual processes can be utilized more efficiently.
"With our digital tools and services, we are translating our many years of experience into valuable customer benefits. WIKUS therefore successfully resolves the complexity of procurement processes with simple solutions that focus on the needs of our internationally based customers," says Michael Möller, CEO of the WIKUS Group and Sales management division, about the company's digital tools, adding: "The product portfolio presentation emphasizes our focus on the needs of our customers. We will continue to utilize our expertise, to develop needs-oriented solutions and to help our customers both with their core business as well as on the path towards digitization."
WIKUS helps its customers to optimize their purchasing and ordering processes on the path towards a "digital factory". The saw blade manufacturer offers not just one but two digital tools for this area: The band selector makes it easy to quickly select the right band saw blade. In six steps, the online tool asks the customer about their particular requirements, provides actual recommendations with regard to suitable sizes, and includes an option for obtaining an immediate quote. Once the customer has decided on a band saw blade, it can be reordered via the digital tool WIstockIT® shown at the EMO 2021. Besides the automation of ordering processes, WIstockIT® also offers overviews updated in real time, such as numbers in stock, ordering history or consumption analyses, via an online portal, thereby ensuring optimum transparency and resource-saving. Both digital tools perform administrative jobs in the purchasing and logistics area. This saves time, and therefore also money.
With the digital tools and its comprehensive range of services, WIKUS offers its customers additional benefits that go far beyond the company's portfolio of high-quality sawing tools "made in Germany" which it continuously develops further. The portfolio highlight of the company's presentation at the EMO 2021 will be the high-performance circular saw blade KREOS®. This high-tech circular saw blade sets benchmarks for cutting thin-walled pipes and moldings. Especially customers for whom a high cutting performance is particularly important, as well as high-volume, mass-cutting sawyers, benefit from characteristics such as the patented WIKUS joint technology, which is unique in this market. A well-balanced chip space geometry and a small, variable tooth pitch allow the blade to achieve a cutting performance that is up to 40% higher than that of the competition. Besides this high performer, the EMO trade show visitors can also look forward to optimizations in the bi-metal area, where the product portfolio has been designed even more application-oriented.
At the WIKUS stand in Hall 05, A12 B11, visitors to the EMO 2021 in Milan can experience the product and service solutions live, and also use the opportunity for face-to-face contact with the WIKUS experts between October 4 and October 9, 2021.
